Yoshiaki Yokota Shihan was born in 1958. He started doing budo with a judo and became a Captain of the Judo Club in a Junior High School at the age of 12. He soon found more interest in Karate and had an Aikido club in a High School. So at the age of 15 he was doing both Karate and Aikido. (more…)

Christian Tissier
Christian Tissier was born on February 7, 1951 in Paris, France. He began aikido at the age of 11 under the Jean-Claude Tavernier in his native city and soon on moved to train under the Mutsuro Nakazono, 7 Dan Aikido Aikikai. Tomiki, Sport or Shodokan Aikido
Kenji Tomiki was born on March 15, 1900 in Kakunodate, Akita Prefecture. He began to learn under the Morihei Ueshiba in 1926 and was also a Jigoro Kanos (a founder of the Judo) student. He managed to get 8 Dan at Aikido in 1940 (and 8 Dan at Judo in 1978). He taught both of them in Waseda University, Tokyo and this is when he started a development of his own Aikido theories which crossed with what Aikikai was about to become. (more…)

Hiroshi Ikeda
Hiroshi Ikeda was born on January 8, 1950 in Tokyo, Japan. He joined the Kokugakuin University and the aikido club there of which Mitsugi Saotome Shihan was a chief instructor. After the graduation he trained regularly at Hombu Dojo of Aikikai and in Saotomes Reimeijuku Dojo in Tokyo.
Masatomi Ikeda
Masatomi Ikeda was born in Tokyo, Japan on 8 April 1940. He is a Japanese aikido teacher who holds the rank of 7th dan Aikikai and a status of Shihan. He was already deeply interested in budo before he started his aikido way. He was able to achive a 4th dan in judo and a 5th dan in sumo through the course of life. (more…)
